
Davie spent one season in the majors, pitching 11 games for the Tigers in 1959. He finished that season with a 2-2 mark and a 4.17 ERA. He started five games, striking out 20 in 36.2 innings of work. Davie’s pro career started in 1952 when he joined the Tigers’ organization. He spent 1953 and 1954 in the military then returned to pitch for a variety of Detroit’s minor league franchises. This all culminated in his call up in 1959. However, he was sent back to the minors in 1960 and retired following that season.
