
Ginsberg spent 13 years playing catcher in the major leagues. Usually a backup, Ginsberg did play more than 100 games in a season twice. His best season was 1951 when he caught 102 games for the Detroit Tigers. He hit .260 that year with eight home runs, 37 RBI and 44 runs scored. All of these were career highs. All told, Ginsberg played for seven teams during a career that spanned from 1948-1962. He died in West Bloomfield, Michigan in 2012.
