
Semproch burst onto the big league scene in 1958 and appeared to be on his way to a fine career. The right hander went 13-11 with a 3.92 for the Philadelphia Phillies as a rookie. However, he would only win six more games in his career, which lasted just another three seasons. Semproch saw his record fall to 3-10 in 1959 as his ERA ballooned to 5.40. He won three games for Detroit in 1960 and pitched in just two games for the Los Angeles Angels in 1961 before retiring. Semproch finished with a career mark of 19-21 with a 4.42 ERA.
