
Rudolph spent parts of eight seasons in the major leagues as a backup catcher with the Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals and Baltimore Orioles. A career .213 hitter, Rudolph’s best season came in 1974 when he appeared in 57 games for the Giants. He hit .259 that season with 10 RBI and 11 runs scored. Following his playing career, Rudolph was the baseball coach at Arcadia High School in Phoenix, Arizona.
