
Marshall patrolled major league outfields for seven seasons from 1967-1973. He came up with the San Francisco Giants in 1967 and saw action in 110 games for them in 1969 before being traded to the New York Mets in 1970. He hit a career-high six home runs that season and appeared in 100 games for New York the following year. He spent one more season playing for the Mets before concluding his career with the San Diego Padres in 1973. Marshall’s career average was .246 with 16 home runs, 114 RBI and 123 runs scored.
