Willie Tasby

Tasby played for six years in the major leagues, coming up with the Baltimore Orioles in 1958 and finishing with the Cleveland Indians in 1963. After appearing in 18 games in 1958, Tasby enjoyed a solid rookie season for the Orioles in 1959. He hit .250 that year with 13 home runs, 48 RBI and 69 runs scored. Following the season, he was named to the Topps All-Star Rookie Team. Tasby’s best year came in 1961 while playing for the Washington Senators. He hit .251 that season with a career-high 17 home runs. He also set a career mark in RBIs (63) while scoring 54 runs. For his career, Tasby hit .250 with 46 homers.
