Dave Sells

1974 Topps

Sells pitched in 90 major-league games, mainly with the California Angels, from 1972-1975. He appeared in 51 of those games in 1973 for the Angels, compiling a 7-2 mark with 10 saves and a 3.71 ERA. Despite his success, he only pitched in 20 games the following year for California and then, as his ERA ballooned, was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1975. He pitched in five games for the Dodgers which were the final MLB games of his career.

Sells got a hit in his lone MLB at bat, giving him a career batting average of 1.000.
