
Wagner served as a backup infielder for three teams from 1976-1984. He came up with the Detroit Tigers in 1976 and played in 39 games. He enjoyed the best year of his career with Detroit in 1979, hitting .274 in 75 games. Wagner was dealt to the Texas Rangers in 1981. He spent three years in Arlington before joining the Oakland A’s for the final year of his MLB journey.
