Ross won 25 big league games while pitching for three teams from 1968-1977. He was mostly used out of the bullpen, pitching in 118 games for the San Diego Padres during the 1972-1973 seasons. He made 31 starts for the California Angels in 1976, going 8-16 despite a 3.00 ERA. Ross threw 225 innings that year, by far his career high. He also struck out 100 hitters, which was also his career best.
This is, without a doubt, the most unique questionnaire we have gotten back. Well, maybe beside’s Bill Lee‘s sweat. Ross’ wife of 50 years, Linda, answered the questions and gave us a unique perspective inside a ballplayer’s life. Plus she made me laugh a time or two.
