Al Naples

LFHP Autograph Card

One of the 100-oldest-living baseball players, Naples appeared in two games for the St. Louis Browns in 1949. In seven at bats, he had one hit, a double, against Red Sox ace Mel Parnell. As such, Naples is one of roughly 200 MLB players to have exactly one hit in his career. (Wikipedia) His professional baseball run lasted only one year as well. He played in the minors in 1949 and that was it. Despite signing with a team for 1950, he did not play and his career was over.

Naples made it easy to read his survey. He also included some press clippings which were interesting.
