
Harlow spent parts of six seasons playing in the majors. He was the Baltimore Orioles starting center fielder in 1978. Playing in 146 games, he hit .243 with 14 stolen bases and eight home runs. The Orioles dealt him to the California Angels the following season and he played in 109 games for the Halos in 1980. He hit .276 that year with a career-high 27 RBI. He saw his average sink to .207 in 1981 and he was soon back in the minors. Harlow spent 1982 playing in Japan before returning to the minor leagues for two more seasons before retiring. Harlow hit .248 for his career with 12 home runs.
