
From 1977-1984 Lacey pitched in 284 big-league games, making appearances for the Oakland A’s, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, California Angels and San Francisco Giants. A relief pitcher (he made just two starts in his career) Lacey compiled a 20-29 career mark with 22 saves and a 3.67 ERA. He led the American League in games pitched (74) in 1978 with Oakland. The year would prove to be his best season as he won eight games, saved five and had a 3.01 ERA.
