Between 1955-1961, Valdivielso played in 401 games, all for the Washington Senators/Minnesota Twins, hitting .219 with nine home runs. He hit .221 in 94 games as a rookie, then hit .236 in 1956. He spent the next two seasons in the minors before returning to the Senators in 1959. He was the team’s starting shortstop in its final season in Washington. He hit .213 that year (1960) in 117 games. He lost his job the following season to Zoilo Versalles and returned to the minors. Valdivielso remained in the minors through 1964, which would be his last year in pro ball.
