
Saverine played in 379 games for the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Senators between 1959-1967. He hit .239 with six home runs and 23 stolen bases in his major league career. He was a starter for Baltimore in 1963, playing in 115 games and hitting .234. His best year came in 1966 for the Senators. He saw action in 120 contests that year and responded with a career-high .251 average to go with career highs in home runs (5), RBIs (24) and runs scored (54). Saverine hit .236 in 89 games for Washington the next season which would be his last in the majors. He spent 1968 in AAA, then retired.
