Bill Harrington


One of the 100-oldest-living players, Harrington pitched in 58 games for the Philadelphia and Kansas City A’s between 1953-1956. He went 5-5 with three saves and a 5.03 ERA. His best year came for Kansas City in 1955 when he appeared in 34 games and had a 4.11 ERA. Harrington’s professional career started in 1949 and lasted until 1961.


We featured Harrington’s favorite teammate,  Bobby Shantz, in June, 2017.

Harrington is one of 12 living Philadelphia A’s players. In addition to Shantz, we have featured Billy DeMars, Art Ditmar, Eddie Robinson and Bill Wilson.
