Dave Edwards

Edwards spent parts of five seasons patrolling the outfield for the Minnesota Twins and San Diego Padres. He came up with the Twins in 1978 and appeared in 15 games. He enjoyed the most productive year of his career in 1979, appearing in 98 games for Minnesota, hitting .249 with eight home runs, 35 RBIs and 42 runs scored. After playing in 81 games for the Twins in 1980, Edwards was dealt to the Padres where he spent the last two years of his career. In 321 games, Edwards hit .238 with 14 home runs.


As he notes, Edwards had two brothers who also played in the majors, Mike and Marshall. Of the three, Dave appeared in the most games.
