Bob Davis

Davis spent parts of eight seasons playing in the big leagues. He broke in with the San Diego Padres in 1973 and finished with the California Angels in 1981. In 290 games, Davis hit .197 with six home runs. His best year came for the Toronto Blue Jays in 1980 when he caught 89 games and hit .216 with four home runs.


Davis only played in five games as a 21-year old for the Padres, but he was the team’s  catcher on opening day on April 6, 1973 against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He struck out twice in two at bats.
