Rick Miller

Miller spent 15 seasons patrolling major league outfields for the Boston Red Sox and California Angels. He played in 1,482 games from 1971-1985 and hit .269 with 28 home runs. A fine fielder, Miller won a Gold Glove for the Angels in 1978. He played in 132 games that season and posted a 2.63 average with 13 stolen bases. Miller’s best offensive season was arguably 1973 when he hit .261 for Boston and set career highs in RBIs (43), home runs (6) and runs scored (65).


Miller played in the 1975 World Series for the Red Sox. He saw action in three games as a defensive replacement. He logged two official at bats but did not have a hit. The Red Sox lost to the Cincinnati Reds in seven games.
