Kurt Kepshire

Kepshire went 16-15 with a 4.16 ERA while pitching in 51 games for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1984-1986. He won six games and had a 3.30 ERA as a rookie, but saw his ERA balloon to 4.75 in his second season in the Cardinals’ rotation. He did win 10 games that year while making 29 starts. Kepshire pitched in just two games for St. Louis in 1986. He remained in the minor leagues through 1989, at which point he retired.


Kepshire made his major league debut on July 4, 1984 at Candlestick Park against the San Francisco Giants. He pitched 8-and-1/3 innings and limited San Francisco to one run to get the win.
