Mike Bacsik

Bacsik pitched in 73 games during parts of five seasons in the big leagues. In 172-and-2/3 innings he compiled a 8-6 record with a 4.43 ERA. He pitched for the Texas Rangers from 1975-1977 and appeared in 23 games for the team in 1976. After spending 1978 in the minors, he came back up with the Minnesota Twins in 1979 and had his best year, finishing 4-2 with a 4.39 ERA. Bacsik pitched in 10 games for the Twins in 1980, concluding his big-league run.


Bacsik’s son, also named Mike Bacsik, pitched for five years in the majors and gave up Barry Bonds’ 756th home run.
