
Kingman pitched in 94 games, mostly for the Oakland A’s, between 1979-1983. He posted a 23-45 career mark with a 4.13 ERA. He lost 20 games for Oakland in 1980, which led the league, despite a decent 3.83 ERA. Kingman also pitched 211 innings that season, which was by far his career high. He won eight games that year, which was the same number of games he won as a rookie in 1979. Kingman pitched in three games for the San Francisco Giants in 1983 and spent the following season at AAA before retiring.
Kingman earned his first win on July 20, 1979 at Yankee Stadium. He pitched seven innings and gave up a run, leading Oakland to a 5-1 win.
